Remedial Massage & Sports Therapies

For the fastest, yet fullest recovery of sports and other injuries, we practice a full range of remedial massage techniques from aromatherapy, reflexology, shiatsu, accupuncture, Indian head, trigger points, manual lymphatic drainage, electro-lazers, heat and cold therapies, exercise programes etc.   

Aromatherapy is the use of aromatic plant essential oils, which are mainly therapeutically applied using massage techniques. They can also be applied as creams, lotions, soaps, shower gels, shampoos, baths, compresses, inhalations etc. Sometimes they can even be taken orally, but this should  only be done under the supervision of a qualified aromatherapist who has experience in offering this type of therapy. As essential oils are 50 - 100 times stronger than the plant themselves, it can be potentially harmful.

Reflexology is the massage and manipulation of reflex points on the feet and hands. Reflex points over the feet and hands are associated with their respective body part. Past, present and even some future problems can be picked up by reflexology. It is a gentle, safe, and a very relaxing foot massage treatment.

Initial consultation and treatment usually takes one hour £30.00.

Naturopathy

Naturopathy uses a wide variety of diagnostic and treatment modalities, below are listed just some we may use.   

Live Blood Analysis is a simple test where we take a sample of your blood and look at it under a microscope to assess the size and shape of the various blood components. Differences in the components of the blood can indicate a range of problems from nutrition, vitamins and mineral deficiencies, effects of environment, and medication can all have effects on your blood terrain. We also use a range of other biochemcial tests to assess blood biochemistry just like at the doctors, these markers can also indicate possible problems and causes of undiagnosed symptoms etc. £65.00 Initial consultation and any prescription e.g. vitamin, herbal, accupuncture, aromatherapy. Colonic hydrotherapy is charged £20 extra e.g. £85.00.  

We use a range of treatments methods for nutritional medicines, and detoxification programes. For detox we use fasting, herbal remedies, colonic hydrotherapy, and sometimes Chelation therapy, which can mop up heavy metals which the body can't get rid of and stores in its tissues. The metals are gotten rid of via the kidneys in the urine. Chelation has also been found to help some people with cardiovascular problmes, high bp, and atherosclerosis which if left untreated can lead to heart attacks and strokes.

Colonic hydrotherapy is the introduction of warm sterile water into the colon. It gently loosens excess waste and chronic toxic build up from waste and expells it. Takes approximately 40 minutes to an hour. Gently cleanses the bowel and keeps you healthy, improves symptoms of IBS, helps weight loss, and many more chronic digestive conditions.
